For years The Godfather - Part II (1974) remained the only chance to see in the same film at work two legends of American cinema: Al Pacino, still in the role of Michael now leading the family in 1958, and in a story parallel in flashback Robert De Niro , in the role of the young Vito Corleone , on the rise between the late 1910s and early 1920s.
